Donald Trump just caved
Well, that didn’t take long! Donald Trump is already backing down on his tough talk on tariffs! He has announced that most goods and products from Mexico will be exempt from these tariffs. For now. Ah, those last few words are what we should pay attention to. Trump gave a timeline of one month before they kicked in again. Sound familiar?
It’s only been a month—ONE DAMN MONTH! And the senile one with the poofy orange hair has already backtracked — twice! Trump already did this. Now he’s done it twice. He probably did it because his handlers told him to. After all, Trump is far too senile, far too much of a sludge bunny to have any idea WHAT he’s doing at this point, yes?
But his handlers see the Dow tumbling downward, and they see the chaos. Perhaps they even ordered him to do it. But this begs the question—what about next month? Will this be Trump’s own personal groundhog day? Will he reimplement the tariffs next month yet again, and then a day or two days or three days later, walk it all back again?
Will he keep doing this every month until his presidency ends (or his senility force him to resign)? The answer to that question just happens to be yes. I don’t think anyone in the Musk administration realizes just how perplexingly stupid this makes them all look.
In the meantime, how about that Claudia Sheinbaum!? She is the President of Mexico and a quicksilver at understanding the Trump administration better than they know themselves. It was after speaking with her that Trump did this, reportedly “out of respect.” Yeah, right. The only things Trump respects are money, chaos, and, of course, insurrections.
Trump is also exempting automobiles from these absurd tariffs. This makes one wonder what the grifter hoped to accomplish with the implementation of these tariffs in the first place. Whatever he hoped to accomplish, he once again comes out of this looking like a fool, a sluggish thug and a bully, spinning his own ridiculous Groundhog Day and then seeing his (disgusting) shadow as world leaders chuckle mockingly at his mistakes.
