Donald Trump is out to lunch
The last time Donald Trump was in charge, he screwed up everything he touched. When COVID happened, his words and (non) actions made it worse. Whenever Kim Jong Un piped up, Trump responded to him and made it worse. It was the worst display of abject incompetence to ever occur on the world stage – until now.
This time around Trump is taking a different approach to the crises that are popping up: he’s just ignoring them. Airplanes falling out of the sky? Trump ignores it. Ships crashing into the Brooklyn Bridge? Trump ignores it. Domestic terrorist attacks? Trump ignores it. Instead he sits there on his own obscure social media site, on the days that he bothers to say anything publicly at all, and spends his time ranting about James Comey and Taylor Swift.
Given how Trump has made everything worse that he’s ever weighed in on, you’d think that saying nothing at all about the relevant issues of the day would be preferable. But really, who’s the President right now? Elon Musk appears to have quit. JD Vance doesn’t have a seat at the table. It’s six to five and pick em that Stephen Miller is running the United States right now. Stephen Miller.
So yes, there is something even worse than Donald Trump being in charge: Donald Trump not being in charge. Trump’s cognitive abilities are so far gone, and he’s so far removed from anything that’s going on, he might as well not even be there. And yet the same media that’s ignoring Trump’s obvious advanced dementia is now hawking books pretending that Joe Biden had advanced dementia? No wonder this country is such a mess. Joe Biden, God bless you, we didn’t deserve you.
