Earlier today, a far-right domestic terrorist murdered a bunch of Americans at a synagogue in Pittsburgh. Yesterday, one of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters was arrested for trying to assassinate all of Trump’s biggest Democratic rivals. You’d think this is maybe kind of a big week for this small fraction of a President. Sure enough, he can’t sleep tonight, but that’s because he’s ranting and raving on Twitter about… baseball?

Just a few minutes before midnight, Donald Trump posted this tweet: “Watching the Dodgers/Red Sox final innings. It is amazing how a manager takes out a pitcher who is loose & dominating through almost 7 innings, Rich Hill of Dodgers, and brings in nervous reliever(s) who get shellacked. 4 run lead gone. Managers do it all the time, big mistake!” No really, this isn’t something out of the Onion. Trump really posted this.

As far as baseball analysis goes, Trump is actually correct. Rich Hill should never have been pulled from game three of the World Series tonight. But so what? This guy is supposed to be the President of the United States, and even as he’s proving that he can’t handle real world emergencies seriously, he’s showing us with this tweet that he doesn’t care about the real world anyway.

It’s midnight on the day of a deadly domestic terrorist attack on American soil, and the “President” of the United States is having a public meltdown about baseball. That’s absolutely insane. This feckless thug needs to resign. Now. Donald Trump has clearly got nothing. He might as well just report to prison.
