Democrats outwit House Republicans
I just love a good plan. Good plans are like designing the most exquisite pottery. You put all your effort into shaping, glazing and designing it, and then — and THEN, hopefully you wind up with something absolutely beautiful.
Democrats are doing just that — designing a beautiful plan. As you know my friends, the House majority is small. Mike Johnson’s having a tough time getting anything done. He could have even more difficulties if what Politico is saying is the truth.
Politico reports the majority could shrink further. . It could shrink because Democrats in New York State have introduced a bill that would allow Governor Kathy Hochul to schedule or NOT schedule special elections.
As you know, the Republicans will lose yet another as Elise Stefanik , who is soon leaving for a job in the Trump administration. But if Dems get their way, the special election will not happen until November, which is far away.
This would deprive house republicans of a badly needed vote. This is great! And the media says democrats aren’t sly and clever! Shame on them. Repubs are screaming bloody murder, but there isn’t much they can do about THIS. We have the power.
This bill is expected to be approved on Monday. And the GOP is NOT at all happy, bitterly condemning the move as corrupt. OK! Now I’ve heard everything! Is the GOP calling US corrupt? That is utterly hysterical! So the next time someone makes a smart-ass comment about the democrats, laugh. Because we have more power and are more clever than many give us credit for.
