Where the hell is Bernie Sanders?
Bernie Sanders made news this morning when he revealed that he’s considering no longer running attack ads against Joe Biden. That’s right, Sanders is still running attack ads against Joe Biden, in a primary race that’s already over, instead of getting behind Biden to take Donald Trump down now. Now Sanders has made things even worse.
Tonight the Senate held a vote on advancing a highly corrupt Republican stimulus package that would shovel hundreds of billions of dollars into the wrong hands while doing far too little to help working class Americans. The vote failed by a 47-47 margin. Five Republican Senators couldn’t vote because they were in quarantine. Bernie Sanders couldn’t vote because he was in Vermont, hosting an online party of some sort for his campaign.
The Bernie Sanders mob has spent the past week pretending that Joe Biden has somehow disappeared, even though Biden held a press briefing on Friday with the former head of the FDA, and Biden is holding another press briefing tomorrow morning. But now that the Senate is voting on the coronavirus emergency, it’s Sanders who is nowhere near Washington DC.
If Bernie Sanders wants to keep his fake campaign going and harm America’s chances against Donald Trump in the process, Sanders should at least have the decency to resign from the Senate. Enough is enough. What is wrong with this guy?
