And so it begins. Remember how, just a week ago, I wrote an article about how the price of eggs is skyrocketing? Well, I’ve got some shocking news in that regard. They are skyrocketing even HIGHER than they were a week ago! Who’d have thunk it? (Everyone sane.)
Allow me to set the scene, if you will. Suppose a young couple are taking a leisurely drive. They decide to stop at a local Waffle House for a quick meal. What do they order? Why eggs, of course! Delicious, nutritious eggs!
They enjoy their meal SO much. Then comes the part where they have to pay. So they ask for the check. But here is the part where this couple might get a bit confused. They might get confused because of the 50 Cent extra surcharge tacked onto the check.
Yes, Waffle House has instituted a new policy. They have raised the price of eggs by $.50. They say they must. As I said, and so it begins. I must say I’ve seen lots of campaign promises in my time. Campaign promises are a dime a dozen in politics, are they not?
But I must ALSO say that I’ve never seen a campaign promise as entirely blown to smithereens as the one Donald Trump made about eggs. Donald Trump promised to lower the cost of eggs; instead, he’s made them higher! Wow, that was some campaign promise, Mr. Trump. At this point, the question is, what item will skyrocket in price next? Oh, my Voters, oh my people, did you make a mistake when you voted for Donald Trump!
