It’s THAT day. Not the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration. It is the day of something else. Yes, Monday is the day slimebag gets his inauguration. But It is also a national holiday. It is Martin Luther King Day. We mustn’t forget that.

“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” Martin Luther King was a fantastic man. His work was tireless and in direct contradiction to what Donald Trump and his miserable cronies attempt to do now.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only love can do that.” Donald Trump’s racism is well-known and has been highlighted over and over again. Trump hates everyone who does not look like him and share the same lack of a value systems and anyone good and noble is not worth the traitor’s time.

“True peace is not merely the absence of tension but the presence of justice.” Justice. We must remember those words. Justice. What did justice look like to a man like King? It looked like fighting through peaceful means. It looked like being the lifeblood of freedom, lifting the less fortunate, and fighting for the rights of every human being, particularly the marginalized and the forgotten.

A man like Martin Luther King would have despised Donald Trump, as Trump stands for everything Martin Luther King was against. So as we go forward, let’s REMEMBER King’s words and his decency. And let us too, vow to fight for justice for all, in the coming months and years, in memory of a wonderful man who never stopped fighting for the causes that matter so much.
