Donald Trump has apparently decided that the best way to fight back against House Intel Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s impeachment investigation is to keep toothlessly calling for Schiff’s arrest, while arguing about the apostrophe that he’s inserted into Schiff’s nickname. Meanwhile Schiff has been working on something real – and it turns out it’s big.

It’s become clear that the path to uncovering Donald Trump’s criminal international financial ties largely runs through Deutsche Bank. Maxine Waters publicly confirmed awhile back that the bank turned over some of Donald Trump’s financial records to the House, but Trump is fighting in court to try to delay Deutsche Bank from turning over his other financial records such as his tax returns. So what’s an impeachment inquiry to do? Work around the problem.

Bill Broeksmit used to be a Deutsche Bank executive, and for some reason he had a huge amount of the bank’s records in his possession. He’s now deceased, and his son Val Broeksmit has since come into possession of these records. It turns out Val has been secretly working with the House Intelligence Committee on its investigation into Donald Trump’s finances. The fact that the story is going public in the New York Times today is a strong indicator that Val and the House have already completed whatever they’ve been working on together.

So now we know that Adam Schiff has an ace up his sleeve. He already has crucial Deutsche Bank records relating to Donald Trump’s finances from the son of a dead former Deutsche Bank executive. Schiff is a former prosecutor, so knows how to get his hands on evidence when the other side is trying to stonewall him. Meanwhile Trump is still fixed on whether there should be an apostrophe in “Liddle” – which he thinks is a hyphen.
