The tapes just keep on coming. Yet another recording has surfaced today, this one revealing that in the days after January 6th, Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise accused the likes of Matt Gaetz, Mo Brooks, and Lauren Boebert of putting Congress in harm’s way.

In response, Matt Gaetz released a statement calling McCarthy and Scalise “sniveling” among other things. Keep in mind that McCarthy and Scalise are the number one and number two ranking Republicans in the House. It’s nothing short of stunning to see House members attacking their own party’s leaders this viciously.

On top of it all, Fox News host and de facto Republican Party leader Tucker Carlson is now using his show to viciously attack not only Kevin McCarthy, but also House Republican Elise Stefanik, who is widely suspected of being the one who recorded and leaked these tapes in an attempt at taking McCarthy’s job from him. Got all that? So many House Republicans are stabbing each other in the back, you need a scorecard to keep track of them all.

House Republicans are now in a full-on Game of Thrones level attempt at ousting and/or destroying each other. This is even before getting to the right wing outlets that are claiming today that House Republican Madison Cawthorn participated in an insider trading scheme. This isn’t just Republicans in disarray. This is Republicans trying to outright destroy each other. At this point House Republicans are doing everything they can to hand the midterm elections to the Democrats.
