How bad have things gotten between Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions? Trump can’t stop himself from repeatedly attacking Sessions in interviews and on Twitter, in an ongoing effort at pressuring him to resign. But as brash as Trump is acting about the matter, he’s clearly feeling the heat. In fact when a reporter asked him about it today, his response revealed just how far in over his head he is.

While Donald Trump was posing for a photo with White House interns in front of the media, a reporter asked “Mr. President, should Jeff Sessions resign?” Trump’s only response was to roll his eyes in an attempt at making fun of the reporter. When he was then asked a question about health care, Trump said “Be quiet!” to the reporter in an almost meek fashion.

You can watch the entire exchange between Donald Trump and the media in this video:

This is far from the first time in which Trump has been outright rude and hostile toward reporters to their faces. But today’s exchange was different. Instead of being brash and combative, he seemed to be almost begging the reporter to leave him alone, because he had no idea what to say about the issues he was being asked about.

There are those who will question whether it was appropriate for the reporter to have been asking these kinds of questions during a photo op. But this event was purposely being held in front of reporters. And Donald Trump has been making a point these past few days of pushing Jeff Sessions and health care into the public discussion. Yet when he appeared before the media today, he suddenly had nothing to say and couldn’t handle being asked about it.
