CNN commentator Jeffrey Lord has been defending Donald Trump on his worst days in such consistently ludicrous fashion, it’s caused many a CNN viewer to proclaim that they automatically change the channel whenever he starts speaking. But it turns out viewers aren’t the only ones who have had it up to here with Lord’s apologist nature. This evening, Anderson Cooper unloaded on Jeffrey Lord while the two were on-air.

After Lord was once again defending Donald Trump in the midst of yet another Trump scandal, Anderson Cooper finally had enough, declaring that “if he took a dump on his desk, you would defend him.” The remark led to someone off-camera immediately bursting out in laugher.

Cooper then twisted the knife on Lord further: “I don’t know what he would do that you would not defend him.”
