For as long as Donald Trump has been acting brash and brazen, his supporters have tried to dismiss his critics as being “fragile little snowflakes” and the like. The implication is that Trump is a strong winner, and those who oppose him simply can’t handle his brashness. That entirely misses the point of the resistance against Trump. But it’s becoming more clear that Donald Trump himself is a fragile snowflake.

Take a look at how Donald Trump is now being characterized by his own friends in this new CNN piece: “Glum.” “Emotionally withdrawing.” “Lonely.” (link). Even his own allies are painting Trump as simply being too fragile to handle the pressure and rigors of the presidency. Nevermind that he’s now the most powerful person in the world, or that he has control over the government, or that he lives in the White House.

It turns out Donald Trump is nothing more than a sad-sack self-pitying weakling who can’t stop whining about how bad he’s got it, no matter how good he’s got it. This does not come as a surprise to those who have dealt with bullies, and found that underneath their bluster, they’re usually babies who hate themselves and therefore try to take it out on others.

But the real question here is this: when it comes to Trump’s wannabe macho supporters, how much longer can they stand behind this guy as he reveals himself to be nothing more than a wuss? This isn’t what they imagined they were getting when they identified with Trump’s overtly brash campaign. At some point even they’ll have to accept that Trump is not at all who they thought they were voting for. Unlike his detractors, who have proven themselves to be some of the most fiercely virtuous of patriotic people in the country, Donald Trump is nothing more than a fragile little snowflake.
