Thanks to a pattern in which Russian operative Dmitry Rybolovlev has been curiously flying in on his private plane to whatever American city Donald Trump happens to be visiting at the time, including last weekend when Trump traveled to Mar-a-Lago in West Palm Beach, all eyes were on Rybolovlev this weekend to see whether he would once again surface in West Palm Beach. Instead, with the Senate Intelligence Committee suddenly closing in on Trump over Russia, Dmitry Rybolovlev suddenly flew to Moscow.
Although Rybolovlev is Russian, he primarily lives in Monaco, so traveling to Moscow is no small deal. Earlier we reported that he had flown in all the way from Switzerland last weekend in order to be in West Palm Beach at the same time as Donald Trump, as documented by political journalist Louise Mensch from Heat Street and others. But this weekend, even as Trump once again headed to West Palm Beach, Rybolovlev curiously went in the opposite direction.
According to the Huffngton Post, Rybolovlev flew to Moscow on Thursday for unknown reasons. Perhaps the increasing eyeballs on his conscious trips to West Palm Beach were drawing too much attention, and he decided not to meet with Trump this weekend. But there’s another theory.
It’s been confirmed that Michael Flynn went to Palm Beach with Donald Trump last weekend, even as Flynn was being engulfed by the Trump-Russia scandal. This was when Trump deposited traveling reporters in a bottom floor of his golf resort with the windows blacked out, arousing suspicion about what he might have been doing while at the resort. So was Rybolovlev meeting with the Russian-compromised Flynn at Mar-a-Lago, and now that Flynn has resigned, there’s no reason for Rybolovlev to continue traveling there? But that still doesn’t answer the question of why Rybolovlev suddenly flew to Moscow instead.
As we’ve been reporting throughout the weekend, the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee held an urgent secret meeting with FBI Director James Comey on Friday afternoon, and the fallout has since suggested that the Intel Committee and the FBI are now aggressively on Trump’s tail over Russia, including securing documents, amid an FBI probe into Trump’s Russian finances. Could Rybolovlev have been recalled to Moscow to discuss the quickly imploding scandal? Contribute to Palmer Report
