Based on the escalating grand jury proceedings against him that are rapidly coming to a climax, it’s clear that Donald Trump’s oldest friend Roger Stone will soon be indicted and arrested. Numerous people in his professional and personal life have been brought in to testify against him, culminating this past week with one key witness being subpoenaed and another being held in contempt of court. This has prompted Stone to behave even more strangely than usual – and he may have just given away something crucial about the criminal case against him.

Late last month, Special Counsel Robert Mueller asked Roger Stone’s friend Kristin Davis to testify before the grand jury. This prompted Stone to post a photo of Davis and her young child on his Instagram page, along with this caption: “Why do FBI agents dispatched by Robert Mueller keep asking my friends if I am the father of this baby?” Days later, Stone posted another photo of Davis and her child with the same caption. This was bizarre, considering there had been absolutely no reporting on this. Now he’s at it again, making clear that he really wants there to be a focus on this child.

This time Roger Stone has posted a photo of himself with the same child, while stating that he’s the child’s godfather. The trouble for Stone is that FBI agents wouldn’t be asking around about something like a paternity matter, unless it was relevant to the criminal investigation. So if Stone is telling the truth about the FBI, which is a big “if” considering how often he’s been caught lying, it would mean that the paternity of this child is indeed related to a criminal matter.

If that’s the case, then Roger Stone is telegraphing one of the criminal scandals that he’s about to be indicted for, either because he can’t keep his mouth shut, or because he’s trying to soften up the ground before the scandal becomes public. On the other hand, if the FBI is not investigating whether Stone is the father of his godson, then it means Stone is making up an utterly deranged story about a young child as a distraction – which would mean he’s losing his marbles.
